Since 2001, we've had the privilege of teaching thousands of swimmers throughout the Hamptons and New York City. Here are a few messages we've received from the families we've worked with over the years.

MICHAEL
Yordan is the best! He’s always on time (usually early!), brings such great energy to every lesson, and has been so patient with Poppy. Even when she’s unsure or cries because she’s still getting to know him, he never gives up. He always finds creative ways to keep her engaged, smiling, and practicing her swimming skills. We’ve loved watching her confidence in the water grow thanks to his encouragement and positivity. We couldn’t recommend him more!
ALBA
We’ve had such a wonderful experience with our swim instructor Aya! She is incredibly patient, kind, and encouraging with our 2.5-year-old daughter, Aurora. She makes her feel comfortable and confident in the water while keeping each lesson fun and engaging. We’re so happy with the progress Aurora has made and would highly recommend her!
JACKLYN
Nico lifeguarded our party yesterday and he was great! Arrived early, in uniform, and was friendly and professional throughout. Many parents commented on how attentive he was while the kids were in playing in the pool and it really made everyone able to enjoy themselves a little more. He was very mindful of the rules, and enforced them as needed - eg taking away juice boxes from kids while swimming which we appreciated. Thank you for a very smooth process and to Nico for keeping everyone safe!
MERRIN
We had such a wonderful experience with Allison this summer! This was Nino’s first summer really spending time in the pool—he was just a little over one when we started—and I truly couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to swimming for him.
Allison was incredibly patient, warm, and encouraging. You could immediately tell she’s a kindergarten teacher by the way she communicated with him on his level, celebrated his little wins, and helped him build confidence without ever making him feel pressured. By the end of the summer, he was so comfortable with her and genuinely excited for his lessons.
What I appreciated most was that the lessons weren’t just about learning to swim—they focused so much on water safety and respect for the water. She worked with him on safely getting in and out of the pool, becoming comfortable in the water, and building the foundational skills and confidence that are so important at his age.
We had such a great summer with Allison and loved watching how much Nino grew from lesson to lesson. We’re so grateful she was his first swim instructor and would absolutely recommend her to other families, especially those introducing their little ones to the water for the first time.
LAURA
The lessons with Caroline have been fantastic. She is so good with Charlie and he is improving so much while having a great time. For example, he picked up diving in a single lesson.
EMILY
Laurie was fabulous.
She was nurturing, encouraging, creative, and engaging. She talked to Catherine to learn about what she likes to do for fun, what she was reading, honed in on the type of challenges she likes, etc. She gave her tips and ideas of things to practice on her own in a fun way.. We’ve done a couple other swim lesson teams but her connection with little ones is special - and genuine. My heart was happy.
CHRISTEN
Thank you for everything! We had a great time. Erica ROCKED. Between being a mom and lifeguard she totally knew how to manage the littles around the pool seamlessly and also did extra things to help which I so appreciate.

Everything was fantastic. Delfina completed her second lesson this morning.
Marie is great and Delfina feels very at ease with her.
She was a little timid to get in the water today but warmed up quickly.

I wanted to let you know of the amazing experience we had with your instructor Boo this summer. Rosalina and Tager were so excited to swim with Boo whenever it was swim lesson time. Rosalina in particular really made fantastic progress from Boo’s instruction and calm, fun demeanor. This summer’s swim lessons were so successful and I just wanted to let you know how much of a gem you have in Boo.

I just wanted to say how amazing Alex is - I can’t say enough good things about how wonderful he is with Luca!! Luca wakes up every morning and asks if Alex is coming to the pool

We all just wanted to thank Liz for all of her hard work this summer. She is so warm and are such a pleasure to deal with. Our babies really started to make some progress! A total testament to how great she is at her job. Hope to see you next summer!

BEN
Lessons with Jen have been great - I only wish we could squeeze more in! Jen is very sweet and patient and clearly knows the right progression for teaching Ryder. He is very comfortable with her and she is very good at adapting the lesson when he pushes back on doing things like putting his face in the water, etc. We're very happy with her as an instructor!
ALEXIS
We absolutely LOVE Leila. Darius is a difficult one for swim class but Leila has really gotten through to him and he’s gone from being all tears to being all smiles. It’s been amazing to watch. She’s so fun and patient.
The booking experience has been amazing. You guys are so flexible and responsive.
TIFFANY
Both Brandon and Ariella have different personalities and Kathleen has been so great at adapting to both of them. Her energy is wonderful. Brandon is high energy and she’s very good at keeping him engaged and on task. Ariella is younger and still hesitant with new teachers. Nonetheless, Kathleen is very good at both making her comfortable and pushing her to try new things. We’re very happy with both kids’ progress with Kathleen.
Scheduling has also been very smooth. Emma is very responsive and helpful.
In addition to Kathleen, Max has also been an instructor for our kids and we have been very happy with him as well. Like Kathleen, he’s been very good to adjust his lesson for our kids’ personalities. As i mentioned before, we could not be happier with Brandon’s and Ariella’s progress over the last two weeks. We look forward to booking lessons with Hamptons Swim again next summer.
CATHERINE
Alessandra is great with kids and makes them feel comfortable in the water. She makes learning how to swim FUN. She always puts a priority on safety and makes sure the kids understand how to be safe around the pool. She knows different techniques and games to keep learning interesting and dynamic. She always shows up on time and excited to work with the kids
JOSH
We couldn’t be happier with the experience with Hamptons Swim. The scheduling process was very easy, not stressful. Hamptons Swim‘s staff has been very accommodating to our needs in terms of schedule and even changing class locations. Great communication between the office staff in terms of reaching them and returning emails or calls/txt.
Leila has been a terrific instructor with Nathan. Leila is extremely professional and knowledgeable for an young lady. She teaches a 30 minute swim class, “packed “ with instruction, knowledge and technique while working with a 4 year old boy (almost 5 years old ) in a calm and positive way.
I watched the 3 classes Nathan has had so far and I see the improvement and Nathan’s confidence grown weekly. He was the boy who wouldn’t put his head under water in the pool. Now he is swimming under water without thinking about it and getting his toys at the bottom of the pool.
I highly recommend Hamptons Swim. The experience and what Nathan is getting from it, is so worth it.
LILIANA
Leila was amazing. She had Sidney swimming in essentially less than a week and instilled a love of the water in him. Sidney attends Montessori school and I was amazed at Leila’s ability to interact with him successfully (help him overcome fears, brush off water in the eyes / up the nose). She prioritized safety and I felt extremely confident in her skills.
Sammie had fewer lessons; however, he too was nearly swimming after their sessions. He was almost 2.5 at the time and was started jumping in and kicking to Daniel on our last summer day. It was amazing to see his progress given he had zero prior exposure. And again, she helped solidify his love of the pool!
We felt so lucky to find Leila. She remains a favorite memory of our summer. In addition to the above, she was a pleasure to have at our home and made scheduling/communication very easy. I’d recommend her to all parents
