Hamptons Swim is a women-owned and operated luxury swim school located in the Hamptons. Led by Liz Parry, our services helped over 700 students reach their goals during the 2023 season. Our team is trained to meet the unique needs of each swimmer regardless of age, ability, and learning preference. From the basics, to overcoming fears, to perfecting your stroke, Hamptons Swim makes swimming safe and enjoyable for all. 

 

We service clients throughout the East End from Riverhead to Montauk, including Shelter Island. Our official season begins as early as May and continues through Labor Day, with our busiest months being July and August. There are part-time and full-time positions available to help cater to our instructors’ busy schedules. Whether you have another part-time job or are looking to capitalize on this upcoming summer’s opportunities, we are flexible with hours, days, and months of availability. 

 

We’re looking to hire an experienced, dedicated, and fun swim instructor who is committed to helping grow our swim community and create an impact. As an instructor you will represent our company while maintaining exceptional client relationships. Roles & Responsibilities:

• 30 min to 2 hour lessons

• Be familiar with lesson material for all ages and skill levels

• Provide a safe and fun learning environment

• Use scheduling system for booking and confirming lessons with clients

• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with parents/family members

• Communicate with the operations team about any scheduling issues

• Participate in pre-season training sessions

• Donate 1-2 evenings for volunteer lesson opportunities to local nonprofit organizations

 

Requirements are:

• Bachelor’s degree

• 2+ years of experience with children (being a certified teacher/lifeguard/coach is a plus)

• Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certified (WSI)

• Red Cross CPR certified

• Access to a car for driving to and from lessons

• Able to respond to emails and texts in a timely manner

• Dependable, punctual, easy going personality, patient, good with kids
