Darren has over 15 years of experience as a swim instructor and swim coach, teaching lessons to swimmers of all ages and abilities, from infants to adults.

 

Before moving to New York, Darren worked as a Special Education Instructional Assistant for Seattle Public Schools for 2.5 years. He also spent nine months in France working as an English language teaching assistant in a high school outside of Paris. Darren swam club throughout high school, and swam and ran track at the Division 3 level at Pitzer College. He graduated from Pitzer with a BA in History.

 

In his spare time he's probably at Rockaway Beach surfing. Darren loves to teach swimming because he believes that learning to swim and knowledge of water safety are integral life skills that one is never too old or too young to learn.
