About Aya
From the age of four, Aya discovered a lifelong passion for swimming through her own early experiences in the water. That passion has grown into over seven years of experience as a swim instructor for her local town, as well as four years serving as Supervisor of the town’s swim lesson program. In these roles, she has developed strong leadership, communication, and teaching skills while fostering a safe, encouraging, and inclusive environment for swimmers of all ages and skill levels.
Aya is deeply committed to promoting water safety and helping others build confidence both in and around the water. Her experience includes working with children, adults, advanced swimmers, and individuals with cognitive and physical disabilities, allowing her to adapt her teaching style to meet a wide range of needs.
She is currently pursuing her degree in the Nursing Program at Farmingdale State College, where she has developed a strong interest in neonatal intensive care and hopes to combine her passion for caregiving, education, and community support in her future career.
